One thing became clear to me in the mid-1990s: I was still in love with the woman whom I’d met as a child and had known for years before losing touch for some 30 years. I never spoke of it, as I was married at the time I composed this song, but let my feelings flow out as notation. Only after 1996 would I act on my feelings and go searching after my marriage ended, and I’d record this song years later as a much better version. Recording equipment: Roland D-10 synth, Trax MIDI software, original Windows system, Toshiba laptop. Original recording from degraded 20-year-old audio tape, re-mastered as best as possible given the condition of the source material.
In Adrian Snood’s songs, soulful vocals and slow-moving alt-pop swirl together to create something distinctly moving. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 1, 2023
