In the 1990s, I began to realize how much the accumulation of things—a house, a car, etc.—had come to dominate the life I was in and the choices I was making. One one hand, I was happy to be a father and have the sense that my life was on track. Yet the once-rewarding simple pleasures in life seemed to have fallen away, and there was a sense of loss there. So I wrote this song about happiness as its often found in relationships where things are of small importance and the experience of life stands as key. Recording equipment: Roland D-10 synth, Trax MIDI software, original Windows system, Toshiba laptop. Original recording from degraded 20-year-old audio tape, re-mastered as best as possible given the condition of the source material.
In Adrian Snood’s songs, soulful vocals and slow-moving alt-pop swirl together to create something distinctly moving. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 1, 2023
